Model DV-5000DFS-L screw valve is designed to dispense medium to high viscosity materials. The valve uses a replaceable screw auger to dispense two-component materials as well as materials that are abrasive such as solder pastes, filled materials and SMD adhesives. Three augers with different pitches are included with the valve. To operate the valve control unit model VC1140 is used. The plastic auger can be quickly exchanged, which greatly simplifies the cleaning of the valve. Screw valve Model DV-5000DFS-L is identical to the DV-5000DFS except that the cover, to replace the screw component, opens to the left.
Functionality
The screw valve meters the material via a rotating auger, from prefilled syringes or cartridges which are pressurized with air to move the material to the valve. The material is forced by the rotating auger into the dispensing needle. The amount of material being dispensed depends on the auger pitch and its speed of rotation. The auger is powered by a 24V DC motor with a current consumption of 22 mA at idle and 110 mA at start-up. The control unit VC1140 can be programmed for the valve not only to dispense material but also to reverse the rotation of the auger, thereby producing reverse movement of the material into the valve.
