The Wiper II is used to automatically clean dirty needles on dispensing devices. On the top of the cleaning device there is a gripper mechanism with flexible gripper jaws that enclose a cleaning belt. The soiled needle is inserted into the intermediate space, the gripper closes and presses the band around the needle. When the needle moves upwards, any residue adhering to it is wiped off. Two versions of the gripper jaws allow even the shortest needles to be cleaned effectively. The maximum cleaning range is seven millimetres needle length. The tape can be changed without tools. To do this, the entire module is pulled off the base plate and the magnetically held side wall is removed. Both the paper holder of the empty roll and the dirty roll on a core can be pulled off their holders and replaced by new ones. Depending on the needle length, between 500 and 3000 cleanings can be carried out per tape roll.
