Retainers
Kartuschenhülsen haben drei Funktionen.
Großkartuschen lassen sich nicht einfach durch einen Kartuschenadatpter verschließen, da sie maximal eine kleine "Lippe" an der Öffnung haben. Wenn man die Kartusche jedoch in eine Kartuschenhülse steckt, lässt sie sich mit einem Deckel luftdicht abschließen.
Ein weiterer Vorteil von Kartuschenhülsen ist die Möglichkeit, die Kartusche sicher zu befestigen - zum Beispiel an einem Roboter.
Zuletzt bietet die Kartuschenhülse auch einen Schutz gegen das "Aufblähen" oder gar Platzen der Kartusche unter dem teilweise hohen Dosierdruck.
